Herrmann is an established specialist in the German market for premium organic pet food. Founded by Erich Herrmann, the company combines a modern production facility with long-standing recipe and organic expertise, serving both branded retail products and demanding private-label customers. Both sites continue to operate, the team is being retained, and Erich Herrmann remains actively involved in the integration.
For the Mühldorfer platform, the acquisition closes a strategic gap. After building out dry-food, snack and supplement capabilities (including GeVo, Greenfarm Group, Vilstalmühle and Dr. Clauder), Herrmann now adds a fully integrated, flexible wet-food production in organic quality — one of the fastest-growing categories in the European pet-care market. The deal reinforces the group's positioning as a branded full-range supplier with own production, recipe ownership and a growing European distribution base.
